The Bone Lab Is Back – New Intake Starting February!

If bone health is on your radar this year, this is your sign to take action.

The Bone Lab at Conveniently Active is our specialised, evidence-based program designed to improve bone density, strength, balance and long-term independence. And we are excited to announce a new trial intake starting February, with a fresh early-morning format to support consistency and real outcomes.

This intake is perfect for anyone who:

  • Has been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis
  • Has had a fracture from a low-impact fall
  • Is over 50 and wants to protect their bone health long term
  • Wants a safe, supervised and proven approach to building bone strength

You are never “too late” to improve bone health. While earlier intervention helps, research shows that bone responds to the right stimulus at any age.

Program Schedule

While the program will start on Tuesday, 10 February, you will be required to come and meet with one of our Accredited Exercise Physiologists to undergo a one-on-one initial assessment for one hour and we recommend booking that in during January where possible. This will allow our EPs to develop your individualised plan before you start in February. The initial assessment is normally worth $166, but is included in the overall cost of the package.

Week One

Tuesday 10 February, 8:00–9:30am

This will be a 90-minute Bone Lab Education and Assessment Seminar, where you will:

This session sets the foundation for everything that follows.

From Week Two

Starting 17 February, you will attend:

  • Two supervised sessions per week
  • Over eight weeks
  • At 8:00am on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Each session is delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and is based on gold-standard research developed right here in Australia.

What Makes The Bone Lab Different

The Bone Lab is not a general gym class and it is not low-load, passive exercise. It is a clinically supervised, progressive strength and impact training program designed specifically to stimulate bone growth safely.

Every participant receives:

  • Individual screening and safety checks
  • Progressive resistance training tailored to their ability and based on scientific evidence
  • Balance and functional strength work to reduce falls risk
  • Close supervision and load progression
  • Ongoing monitoring of technique and confidence

This is the kind of training that protects not just your bones, but your independence, mobility and quality of life.

Why Acting Now Matters

Bone loss is often silent. Many people do not realise their bone density has reduced until a fall results in a fracture. And as we know, falls later in life can change everything.

Strong bones mean:

  • Lower fracture risk
  • Better balance and confidence
  • Fewer hospital admissions
  • Less reliance on family or carers
  • More freedom and independence to live actively

The Bone Lab is about future-proofing your movement, not just managing a diagnosis.

Limited Places Available

This is a small-group program to ensure safety and quality, and places are limited for this intake.

If you would like to be part of the February Bone Lab intake, we recommend registering your interest early.
