Managing Type 2 diabetes doesn’t have to be overwhelming. At Conveniently Active, we offer a comprehensive 8-week Group Diabetes Exercise Program designed to help you take control of your health through exercise and education. Our program is tailored to support you in managing your diabetes, improving your physical health, and empowering you with the knowledge and tools to thrive.
What Is Included?
Our program is designed to provide you with all the support you need to manage Type 2 diabetes effectively:
Introduction Education Seminar: Learn about the impact of exercise on managing diabetes, tips for lifestyle changes, and how to integrate exercise into your daily routine.
One-on-One Initial Assessment: Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists will assess your current health and fitness, tailoring the program to suit your specific needs.
8 Group Exercise Classes: Regular group sessions that are focused on building strength, improving cardiovascular health, and increasing flexibility—all designed with diabetes management in mind.
4 Diabetes Education Sessions: These informative sessions cover essential topics like nutrition, blood sugar management, and lifestyle changes.
Expert Advice and Support: Ongoing guidance from our Accredited Exercise Physiologists throughout the program to ensure you’re on track and achieving your health goals.
What Is the Cost?
We strive to make this program accessible to everyone:
Bulk Billing with GP Referral: If you have a Group Diabetes GP Referral, the program is fully bulk-billed with no out-of-pocket cost. (Contact our team for the referral form.)
Private Participants: If you don’t have a referral, you can still participate privately. The initial consultation is $75, and each group exercise class is $20.
What If I Am New to Exercise?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Whether you’re new to exercise or managing aches and pains or other medical conditions, our program is designed for all levels of fitness. Our exercise physiologists will guide you through modified exercises tailored to your abilities and needs. You’ll receive the support necessary to build your confidence and improve your physical health.

Book an Initial Assessment: Call our reception team at 0424 270 016 to schedule your first consultation.
GP Referral for Bulk Billing: If you’d like to take advantage of the bulk-billed option, please visit your GP with the referral form (available from our team) to have the program billed directly to Medicare.
Meet Chris Archer
Chris Archer is a senior Exercise Physiologist at Conveniently Active, with over 12 years of experience in the field. He holds an Accredited Exercise Physiologist qualification and a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education. Chris is excited to lead this program and help participants manage their diabetes through exercise and education, providing expert guidance every step of the way.
